Kierstin & Chris | Boston Wedding

Kierstin and Chris had a remarkable day. The weather could not have been any better, friends and family gathered from several states and the energy level was at it’s highest peak. Chris and the guys were hanging out in the Oak Room, at the Colpley Fairmont Hotel, while his beautiful bride was upstairs prepping for their day.Kierstin’s gown was very elegant and she wore it as if she were a subject within a Renoir painting. We made it to the chapel by foot as they were married in the historic Old South Church on Boylston Street. You can see the enthusiasm on the couples’ faces as they begin their celebration. We stopped by a few local landmarks to finish off our portrait set with the couple and their wedding party. The Boston Public Library and the reception locale, The Fairmont Copley PlazaOff to a rockin’ reception in the Grand Ballroom.

Kierstin & Chris | Engagement Session

A walk about, in the city of Boston, reveals a multitude of backdrops by which to photograph two people embarking on a  new journey.

Stopping to appreciate the architectural richness of Beacon Hill (and of course each other).A sepia color wash is fitting for this shadow play alongside the graphic elements. When the color is vivid and rich I give just a little nudge to the settings. I would not dare make these  black and white. To see Kierstin and Chris’ wedding images click here.

Love is in the air….

When Alexa and George got Engaged, they decided to make their announcement official, by sending out fun and creative cards. The cutout  shape of this card made it a memorable keepsake for all who received one.  The rest of the images below were taken during our session  in Brookline and are just a few excerpts from the colorful and unique album I designed for them to treasure. The colors of the clothing and the trees inspired the purple and gold theme.A splash of damask and some nice  texturizing in the background keep  the pages refreshing. When love is in the air there is hope in the world:)

Home for the Holidays | Family Portrait Moments

When home for the holidays, how can you not think of family? What better time to have a portrait created than when you are gathered together.  One of the most challenging issues in having a family portrait created, especially with adults, is a constant conflict of schedules.  This family made it happen and the results were worth it.
